"Of Lighthouses and Dreams..."
(by mekael haider)
Dreams and lighthouses have always fascinated me.
Although the whole life of mine seems like a dream, as if Someone very Kind, The One, who wrote my destiny, held
my tiny hand and took me through the whole life in a state of a trance, with dreams and nightmares both intertwined in my
bewildering odyssey, as if two shades of grey beautifully penned down on my fate's scrolls. Yet there have been
some rare eerie dreams seen very few times in whole life which gave me hope and the belief in love and taught
me to endure the long road of my solitary life. These dreams were like beautiful lighthouses which have always fascinated
me since childhood, becoming unparalleled objects of extreme beauty and serenity. Just as I still need to figure out why I
have always loved lighthouses since the first one I witnessed in Manora island (Karachi) and the last one at Long Island
(New York), I stop to ponder if my dreams were mere mirages constructed serendipitiously from
erratic synaptic connections in my mind or mysterious liaisons to some irrational dimensions and far frontiers which my soul
shares its existence with, similar to the rays of beautiful light emanating from lighthouses which connect a sailor to a secluded
land, conveying hope and glad tidings, and blessing with a new lease to life. I learn that just as
a lighthouse beam is a miracle and more than a stream of corpuscles of light, my dreams are not a physiological artifact of
my neurons but a miracle of life due to the reach of human mind beyond its space-time and into
the realm of the soul.

"To Whom the Bells Toll..."
(by mekael haider)
"of all the wars fought and all the soils fathomed, in soaring high and flying up the sky, along the fight
between the good and the evil, in the times of painful debacles and in the hours of glory and conquests, in the long sad hours
of sorrows and cries and in the rare moments of beautiful tears of joy, among the breaths taken in wakefulness and the tapestries
of dreams woven when the sore eyes at rest, in the quiet moments of endless thoughts and in the rush hours with heedless crowds,
in frantic driving along the empty highways and in sleepless journeys above the clouds, in kneeling down to His august presence
and while oblivious in crazy hours, in the folded sails on the banks of eerie islands and in the angry oceans shattering my
ship's bows, since the serene and solemn days in eden till the wanderings on this arid land, this is the truth I
have always found in my solitary life, that you've always been there with me, at each moment and in every vision of these
eyes... even if i never saw or met you whole my life..."

"To Human Courage"
(by mekael haider)
"Of All the blessings bestowed upon humankind, the best
and most tremendous is human courage. It can stand everything, can move the mountains and is the only thing other than faith
which is invincible... It can never be defeated..."

"The Vision of The Age as I Perceive It"
(by mekael haider)
"the sheep have jackals as chaperons and have
taken hyenas as their sheperds... the lions are long gone dead and the time has chained the eagles' wings... there are no heroes in this age... this is the age of crows... all we mere mortals can do is pray
for time..."

"The Eerie Silence of the Vacuum"
(masroor bukhari)
"There is something in vacuum which we haven't been able
to measure, which we haven't learnt to measure as yet, but still it is everywhere in vacuum, waiting for us to perceive
it. we have just found the energy density of this vacuum and the normal modes but we are unaware of its deep mysterious source.
the physics as we know faces serious scarcity of the tools and techniques required to dig the truth of what lies beneath
the placid but volatile vacuum. there are some simple beautiful symmetries and equations right in front of our eyes but we
have yet to acquire a vision to decipher them..."
